Lately I have been reading Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda. My friend got me on to this series and I think they’re awesome! At the moment I am reading the last one in the second series. It’s called The Shadowlands. In the first series three people (Lief, Barda and Jasmine) go on a quest to save Deltora from the Shadowlord. What they have to do is retrieve the seven gems. Together those seven gems make a power; a power that the Shadowlord can’t bear. To get those seven gems back in the belt were they belong Lief, Barda and Jasmine must defeat seven evil guardians. But once they have all the gems something gets in the way. I think Deltora Quest is a great series for readers between 9 and 12 who like disgusting things like colonies flying leeches and giant slugs. I hope you enjoy these books as much as I did.

Deltora Quest sounds like a great 3 series! Unfortunately I think I would get sick if I read about giant slugs and flying leeches. Maybe I could borrow them from the library to disgust my sister, Olivia!
