Risk

September 26, 2010 · 4 Comments · Uncategorized

Risk is a fun game to play with your family. I like to play it with my dad because it’s a great way of spending time together. I enjoy particular board games such as: Carcassonne; Monopoly and Risk. The reasons  I like these games is because you basically get to build you own world. In Risk you get to build your own empire and conquer the word. In Monopoly you get to build your own estate and by and sell different properties. In Carcassonne you get to build your own village with farms, roads and castles. Another thing I like about all these games is that you get to make all these crucial decisions that may change the whole outcome of the game.

What games do you like and why?

Thank you for exlaining how “blogs” originated.
The games sound good – amazing to make all those decisions with no after effects – except defeating your Dad?
    Looking forward to more blogs.

I like to do puzzles more than play board games. My girls and I particularly love our Harry Potter jigsaw puzzle as it has small pieces on one side (for the bigger people) and larger pieces on the other side (for the littler people). However, as they are all getting big now we just all get in and do it together. I think it probably serves the same purpose of spending time together as your board games do. There’s nothing better than quality time with your family, Zoe. Keep it up! Mrs H.

    Hi Zoe,
I’ve never heard of Risk or Carcassonne but absolutely LOVE to play Monopoly. Sometimes when I am really stubborn, and no one wants to play it with me, I set it up and attempt to play by myself and then everyone feels sorry for me and I end up playing with the whole family! Carcassonne sounds a bit like a Monopoly game, but in Medieval times. Risk sounds more modern and dramatic when you talk about “Taking over the world!” Instead of computer games and things, I also find Board Games a great way to socialize with friends and family! Especially when I have that trick!
    See you tomorrow!
    Jess
